Yoto Mini Battery Replacement Kit


If you are an owner of a Yoto Mini (2021 and 2023 edition), we need you to take some further action so you can continue to enjoy your device.

If you own one of these Yoto Minis, you may recall that we contacted you in April 2024. At the time, we informed you of a safety issue with the lithium pouch battery. The issue meant that the battery may overheat when the device is being charged. We offered all owners a free Yoto Mini Smart Cable and implemented an automatic software update.

In Australia, the regulator, ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission), was notified and has requested that further action be taken. Therefore Yoto is issuing consumers with a Battery Replacement Kit.

We are rolling out this new remedy to all customers starting in Australia and expanding worldwide from 2025. As part of our voluntary action, we are offering a free Battery Replacement Kit to all customers who have a Yoto Mini manufactured between 2021 and 2023.

The Battery Replacement Kit and Smart Cable used together, provide a longer battery life equivalent to that found in the 2024 Yoto Mini edition, while protecting against component failure and power surges. Completing the battery replacement process will remove the risk of overheating associated with the old batteries.
